Security Dilemmas in Russia and Eastern Europe

This course will examine the new foreign policy and security
issues that have arisen in the former Soviet Bloc after the
passing of the Cold War. A special emphasis will be placed
on the evolving relations between Russia and the former
Soviet Republics, on the expansion of NATO in Eastern
Europe, and on the role of international organizations in
the regulation of ethnic conflicts in the post-Communist
world.
