This course will provide hands-on experience in sedimentological research. It will include field trips, experiments and laboratory analyses of sediments.

TECHNIQUES IN SEDIMENTOLOGY, Maurice Tinker

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

Written lab exercises and summary poster. Group work will be emphasized.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

One Saturday and/or Sunday field trip may be made to adjacent areas of New York or New England. There will be one all-day field trip to Schlumberger Research lab late in the semester.
