This is elementary modern dance classt that is above the introductory level that has an emphasis on anatomically efficient movement and energy projection. The dancing will focus on development of the strength, endurance, joint mobility, and technical skills necessary for working in dance technique, improvisation, and choreography. This course differs from DANC209 and 210 in that it is a one semester class and may be taken either semester.

Participation in weekly group meetings outside of class, and short papers.

Placement on this technical level required by permission of instructor. May be repeated for credit. Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
