Eighteenth-and nineteenth-century attitudes towards
politics, economics, and history will be examined from
novels which directly critique an existing society, as well
as from those which present an alternative, sometimes
fantastic, reality.

Required for all
CSS majors.
This is a fourth quarter course. You have five days after
the start of this class to add it. This course must be
dropped by April 9.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting
or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the
first class, they will be dropped from the class list.
NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form
to the Registrar's Office.
