This course is roughly equivalent to the Computer Science Advanced Placement Course. The emphasis is on the analysis of algorithms and data structures and their implementation in a high-level programming language. Topics will include abstract data types, stack, queues, sets, hash tables, graphs, and object oriented languages. Particular attention is paid to the correctness and complexity of algorithms.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

This course has grading mode A-F only; grades will be based on hour exams and several programming projects.

Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
