This course studies of the interrelatedness of cultural
values and historical processes at the moment in Europe,
with special reference to America and Russia.

Work by Bridges, Hardy, Joyce, Pound, Yeats, Klimt, Lodin,
Sloan, Vrubel, Whistler, Ives, Mahler, Puccini, Schoenberg,

Oral report, papers - one
short, one long.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Intended as a
history seminar for COL students; other upperclassmen may
be admitted if space is available.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting
or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the
first class, they will be dropped from the class list.
NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form
to the Registrar's Office.
