Conformational Analysis and Molecular Mechanics CHEM351 SP

The principles of conformational analysis and their applications in organic chemistry will be examined. Modern methods of conformational analysis by computer (molecular mechanics) will be examined in detail. Homework problems will be done using the Hyperchem, PC Model, and GMMX molecular mechanics programs. Previous computer experience is not necessary.

One final exam and an individual project in molecular mechanics.
