following areas: identification of plants and animals,
first-hand knowledge of a wide array of organism life

procedures applicable to plants and animals (e.g.,
population monitoring, competition, habitat relationships),
and recording of data and observations in a field notebook.
The course should be beneficial to those interested in
virtually any area of research in biological sciences. Field
