This course introduces the techniques of recording electrical activity from nerve and muscle. Experiments will deal with sensory, motor and coordinating elements and will include studies of single cells done with intracellular electrodes. Four to five hours of laboratory per week are required. Prerequisite requirement is also satisfied by concurrent registration in BIOL213.

MAJOR READINGS
