Tribal Communities in the Middle East ANTH252 FA

This seminar is designed to give students both a background in the ethnography of the Middle East and an understanding of important questions in political anthropology. Theoretical issues will be cast in the context of ethnographic material drawn from selected Middle Eastern tribal societies.
