Photo Caption and Credits

Close study of representative Spanish texts in the period 1800 to the present, will serve as the basis for a historical survey of modern literary movements.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

Three short papers, oral presentations; two mid-term exams and a final examination.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

Required of majors but non-majors are welcome. Readings, class discussion, and written work in Spanish only. This course is intended for students who have completed SPAN 221 with a grade of B- or better or have placed into SPAN 223 through the placement test this fall. Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
