Developmental psychology is the study of the origins, nature
of change, sequence and end state of various biological,
cognitive and social phenomena in human development. This
course is an introduction to theory and research in
developmental psychology. Factors that affect biological,
cognitive and social development across the life-span will
be examined. Special emphasis will be placed on
understanding how the development of an individual is
affected by his/her social and cultural setting.

Paper assignments, exams,
class presentation.

This is an area
course in Development. Special emphasis in writing.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting
or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the
first class, they will be dropped from the class list.
NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form
to the Registrar's Office.
