Photo Caption and Credits
This course deals with how we construct a conception of
physical reality from sensory experience, particularly from
sight and sound. We will review the main areas of
perception from the neurophysiological, psychophysical and
cognitive points of view: the visual system and seeing, the
auditory system and hearing, smell, taste, and touch. A
series of lectures and demonstrations will introduce the
students to interesting perceptual phenomena.
