The course examines the variety, utility and appropriateness
of qualitative methods in psychology. The methods of
psychological investigation that will be surveyed include:
the interpretation of text and speech, interviewing, and
historical, rhetorical and critical approaches to research.
These methods are assessed in terms of their scientific,
historical, philosophical, social and political qualities.
