Photo Caption and Credits
This laboratory course, designed to be taken in conjunction
with PHYS113, is devoted primarily to experiments in
mechanics. Macintosh computers running the Excel spreadsheet
will be used to graph functions, analyze large quantities
of data, and obtain a numerical solution to an equation of
motion.
MAJOR READINGS
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
To be taken
concurrently with PHYS113; may be elected by students taking
PHYS115. While this course is not required by the Physics
Department, students planning to enter the health
professions should be aware that a year of physics WITH
LABORATORY is usually required for admission. Consult your
major adviser if you are in doubt about similar requirements
in your field. Each laboratory section is limited to 16.
Students considering a Physics major are strongly advised to
enroll in one of these sections.
