This course is designed for first year composition students
in the Graduate Program. We will discuss and analyze works
covering a broad range of compositional styles and focussing
on recent European, Asian and American composers. in
addition, student works will be discussed and, when
possible, performed.

By interview,
qualified seniors and music majors may enroll.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting
or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the
first class, they will be dropped from the class list.
NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form
to the Registrar's Office.
