This is a half semester course. It will be offered in the
first half of the semester. This is an intensive course
consisting of lectures and discussions of selected topics in
molecular biology and genetics. Topics will vary from year
to year. Tentative topics include lectures and discussions
based on recent reviews and research papers on protein
secretion: its genetics, biochemistry and cell biology.
MAJOR READINGS
Recent reviews and research papers relevant
to topics mentioned above. In addition, a limited number of
guest lectures and discussions are anticipated.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Oral presentations and written
critiques of individual topics are required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Course is designed
for graduate students, however, seniors may enroll with
permission. This course must be dropped by October 23.
