The Nature of Mathematical Thought MATH106 SP

Through consideration of a few related topics, the beauty, power and significance of mathematics as a system of thought will be presented fo students with minimal backgrounnd in the suject. Little technical facility in mathematics will be assumed or developed in the course; students wishing mainly to improve their command of basic mathematical techniques should take some other course.
