Sophomore Seminar. This course is a comparative analysis of European fascist movements and ideologies in the first half of the twentieth century, with specific attention to Italy, Germany, Spain, and France. Materials for the seminar will include documentary sources, including films, interpretive studies, and biographies. Four short papers and a major research paper will be required. Priority to sophomores; open to first-year students, juniors and seniors; History majors may count this seminar toward fulfillment of the Department's seminar requirement.
