This course will offer German majors and other interested students an opportunity to explore a significant topic in German literature within a chronologicial context. The topic for 1998-99 is: aspects of power in the political and personal realms.

Regular attendance and participation in class discussion required. This course is not recommended for students who have not yet studied or lived in a German-speaking country. It is required of all German Studies majors.
