The second part of a two-semester course designed to develop the basic language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students may expect to acquire: 1) the ability to speak and understand simple German; 2) an understanding of German grammar; 3) the capacity to read non-technical texts; and 4) insight into German culture. Individual language-labratory work. Five class meetings per week.
