Concentrated study of film narrative beginning from these
premises: A film is not a book; film depends on its
technology; film narrative changes over time; there are
narrative devices unique to film; genre produces story,
sometimes stars do, too. Two film showings weekly; lecture
precedes showing, discussion follows.

Course fee: $40.00.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting
or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the
first class, they will be dropped from the class list.
NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form
