The recognition and study of volcanic, plutonic and
metamorphic rocks in hand specimen and in thin section.
MAJOR READINGS
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Four or five detailed
petrographic reports, 2-3 lab quizzes.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
E&ES 214 must be
taken concurrently.
