Photo Caption and Credits
Oceanography is a multidisciplinary study of the marine
environment; topics include physical, chemical, geological
and biological processes acting in the world's oceans.
Stress will be placed on understanding how interactions
between these four types of processes control the dynamics
of the marine environment.
MAJOR READINGS

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Three one hour exams, each
covering 1/3 of the course; a cumulative final and six
laboratory exercises.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Students should
possess secondary school proficiency in biology, chemistry
and physics.
A $25.00 laboratory fee will be charged to student accounts.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting
or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the
first class, they will be dropped from the class list.
NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form
to the Registrar's Office.
