Theories of consumption, investment and production are integrated into a general equilibrium model appropriate for analyzing the impact of government spending, taxation and monetary policies on unemployment, the pace of inflation and the rate of economic growth. Consideration is given to a variety of procedures for forecasting economic change, ranging from leading indicators to large-scale econometric models.
