A study of the concepts, methods, and techniques of
management science and their applications to business,
government, and social problems. Topics are chosen from
fields of production scheduling, linear and dynamic
programming, inventory management, queuing theory,
replacement theory, decision theory, and the theory of
games.

OPERATIONS RESEARCH FOR MANAGEMENT, Irwin, 1977.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Mid-term and final.
Weekly problem sets.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Advanced placement
calculus can fulfill the Math prerequisites. Either MATH117
121, or 122 can fulfill the Math prerequisite for this
course. ECON271 or 261 will fulfill the Economics
prerequisite. Any one of these MATH and one of these ECON
courses will fulfill the course prerequisite. A course in
probability, such as, MATH231 is useful background. Those
students having prerequisite combinations different from
those listed under prerequisites or more advanced MATH
courses will need a Prerequisite Override form.

Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting
or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the
first class, they will be dropped from the class list.
NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form
to the Registrar's Office.
