This course is intended as an introduction to modern investment analysis. Topics will include efficient markets, portfolio management, valuation theory, performance measurement, and the effects of inflation on stock values.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

Midterm, problem sets, term research paper (15-25 pages) and a final examination. Grade will be based on performance in the exams, the problem sets, and the term paper. There will be a bonus for general contribution to class discussion.

Please note that if you do not match one of the prerequisite listings EXACTLY, then you will need a prerequisite override. Students will be encouraged to write term papers using the CRSP Data Set and E-views.
