A course for students with college-level general and organic chemistry background. Examples of subject topics: thermodynamics of energy production, solar fusion and fission power, chemical kinetics and transport models for air pollution (photochemical smog and ozone depletion); acid rain; health effect of air pollution and water pollution; and analytical methods such as trace detection and standardization. Analysis and criticism of environmental literature.
