We will discuss how gene expression is controlled in
developing organisms with particular emphasis on the
different experimental approaches utilized. Topics will
include pattern formation during early embryogenesis.
Drosophila will be used as a model system. We will
use primarily a seminar format with discussion of current
literature.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
This course will
start on Tuesday, March 24, 1998. Students have five days
after the start of the course to add or drop this course.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting
or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the
first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE:
Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the
Registrar's Office.
