A general introduction to Western architecture, painting and
sculpture in their historical, stylistic and cultural
aspects from ancient Greece through the 16th century.
Students wishing to continue the material of this course
should enroll in intermediate courses focusing on the modern
period.

Unless
preregistered students attend the first class meeting or
communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first
class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE:
Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the
Registrar's Office.
Four discussion sections will be composed primarily of
freshmen.
