A history of drama and theater with performance histories
chosen from French classical drama, English Restoration,
German and French ninteenth century romanticism and realism,
and the emergence of American theater.
MAJOR READINGS
Plays and historical texts, essays and
representative plays.

Two midterms and a final exam,
scene work and notebook.
