Spanish Theater
SPAN233 SP
Next Offered in 9899 SP
A close reading of plays from all periods of Spanish

emphasize three specific modes of reading theater. (1) In
an intrinsic reading we will study the extent to which stage
representation is encoded in the written text; (2) an

from different periods (the historical perspective) we will
analyze how the genre has evolved in Spain in time.
