Nonverbal Behavior and Impression Formation

The purpose of this seminar is to examine what is known
about nonverbal behavior and how it may influence the
impressions that different others form about one another.
Didactic material will be presented, and it will be
complemented by literature searches, readings and
discussions.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Grades will be determined by
a combination of class participation, homework assignments,
two exams, and two papers. Students also will keep an
academic journal of their observations of nonverbal
behavior, along with their assessment of what the behavior
communicates to them.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
For psychology
majors, this course is in the area of Social and the level
is Specialized.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting
or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the
first class, they will be dropped from the class list.
NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form
to the Registrar's Office.
