A survey of research on intelligence. The course will deal with the following topics: history of research on intelligence; the structure of intellect; contemporary process theories of intelligence; stability and change in intelligence; intelligence and schooling; genetic and environmental influences on intelligence; race, class and gender differences in intelligence; the use of intelligence tests for selection.

MAJOR READINGS

A selection of chapters and articles.
