PHYS113 or 115 and using calculus. The topics covered
include electricity and magnetism, optics, and quantum
physics.

Weekly homework problems, two
hour exams and a final exam.

Students taking 116
should enroll in a section of the associated laboratory
course PHYS124. Students planning to enter the health
professions should be aware that a year of physics WITH
LABORATORY is usually required for admission. Consult your
major advisor if you are in doubt about similar requirements
in your field.
