This course is designed to meet the needs of the individual
interested in establishing a self-paced exercise program.
The emphasis of this course is on the development of
cardiovascular endurance. Individuals are instructed how
to determine personal work load levels and pace themselves
during various classroom aerobic activities. Participants
also receive additional instruction in strength training,
flexibility exercises, body weight awareness and relaxation
training. Cardiovascular activities include fast walking,
jogging, aerobic exercise, rope jumping, interval training
and rowing ergometer work.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
One additional self-scheduled
exercise work session per week.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Attendance
required.
First class of each quarter will meet in Freeman Athletic
Center classroom.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting
or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the
first class, they will be dropped from the class list.
NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form
to the Registrar's Office.
3rd quarter - 1 section - January 16 - March 6
NOTE: Students must drop this course by March 6.
