Conducting: Instrumental and Vocal

A practical study of the techniques and skills involved in
the conducting of selected instrumental and vocal scores.
Analysis, interpretation and performance will be stressed.
MAJOR READINGS
To be selected according to the musical
literacy of the individual student.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Frequent assignments, a final
examination and/or performance.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Students must be
able to sight-read music exceptionally well and have some
minimal technical pianistic skills.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting
or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the
first class, they will be dropped from the class list.
NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form
to the Registrar's Office.
