Multi-Dimensional Nuclear Magnetic Rosonance Spectroscopy

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is a widely
used technique in molecular biology, chemistry and
biochemistry. This course presents basic principles and
experimental methods in NMR. Description of most NMR
experiments is based on the spin product operator formalism.
Two-, three-, and four-dimensional NMR experiments useful
for chemical and biochemical structure determination are
emphasized.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Two problem sets. One midterm
exam. One final exam.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Basic knowledge in
linear algebra and quantum mechanism will be assumed.
Physics 214 or equivalent is required.
This course is being offered during the fourth quarter
beginning on March 25, 1977. Students have five (5) days
after the first day of class to add or delete this course.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting
or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the
first class, they will be dropped from the class list.
NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form
to the Registrar's Office.
