Principles of Biochemical Pathways and Control
MB&B394 SP
This course will discuss important models of biological
pathways and regulatory mechanisms, through application to
specific systems, such as hemoglobins, the citric acid
cycle, steroid biosynthesis, hormonal effects, etc.
MAJOR READINGS
Classic papers, current literature, sections
from standard biochemistry texts.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Exams and class presentations.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Students must
attend the first lecture to be enrolled. Each student will
be expected to read extensively in one area of biochemistry.
