Methods of Artificial Intelligence

This course introduces the student to the basic, problem solving techniques of artificial intelligence including heuristic search, game playing, pattern matching and automatic theorem proving. Several past and present projects in artificial intelligence and expert systems will be analyzed. The course will include a brief introduction to LISP and PROLOG and involve some programming.
