The character Socrates, venerated by his disciples, reviled
by others and ultimately condemned to death in an Athenian
court, will be studied through the writings of the
philosopher Plato. There will be class discussion of
interpretation of the texts and a continual review of Greek
grammar and analysis of Greek vocabulary.
