This course is designed to introduce students to the particular problems women face as a result of the vast changes in both West and East Europe. We will examine some of the issues and problems surrounding women's relation to and participation in politics, and consider the different manner in which women and men have been incorporated as citizens in both capitalist and socialist societies.

MAJOR READINGS
