This course will offer German majors and other interested
students an opportunity to explore a significant topic in
German literature within a chronologicial context. The topic
for 1996-97 is: aspects of social class.

Regular attendance
and participation in class discussion required. This course
is not recommended for students who have not yet studied or
lived in a German-speaking country. After 1996-97 it is
required of all German Studies majors.
