The second part of a two-semester course designed to develop the basic language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students may expect to acquire: 1) the ability to speak and understand simple German; 2) an understanding of German grammar; 3) the capacity to read non-technical texts; and 4) insight into German culture. Individual language-labratory work. Five class meetings per week. Students need not schedule their Tuesday, Thursday sessions for the same time slots as the Monday, Wednesday, Friday sessions.

Weekly tests, daily assignments, midterm and final examinations.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

All GERM102 students are required to attend on of the two Tuesday/Thursday sessions taught by a second instructor that are an integral part of the course: 1. TT 9:00-9:50 2. TT 10:30-11:20 Regular attendance and class participation required.
