The 17th century in France produced a number of writers and
thinkers whose analyses of, and insights into human
psychology, social relations, art, philosophy, and religion
are the foundations of modern thought. We will read and
discuss their most important works, not only for an
understanding of LE GRAND SIECLE, but for what value they
still have today.
