Quaternary Environments

An analysis of paleoenvironmental change during the Quaternary Period. The course will focus on the methods used to reconstruct Quaternary paleoenvironments and will examine the effects that recognized climate changes have had on the physical environment. The Quaternary history of glacial, and non-glacial continental and coastal regions will be discussed as well as pertinent aspects of paleoclimatology and paleoecology. The influence of Quaternary environments on prehistoric cultures will be considered throughout the course.
