Environmental Geochemistry
E&ES280 SP
A qualitative and quantitative treatment of chemical
equilibria in natural systems such as lakes, rivers, the
oceans and ambient air. The magnitude of anthropogenic
perturbations of natural equilibria will be assessed and
specific topics like heavy metal pollution in water, acid
rain, asbestos pollution and nuclear contamination will be
discussed.
