Techniques in Sedimentology

This course will provide hands-on experience in
sedimentological research. The first two exercises will be
field trips in which two different environments are
sampled. During subsequent labs, sediments collected during
these trips will be systematically analyzed.

One Saturday and/or
Sunday field trip may be made to adjacent areas of New York
or New England. There will be one all-day field trip to
Schlumberger Research lab late in the semester.
