Organisms may consist of cells, parts of cells or groups of cells. The emergence of multicellularity has involved the association of greater and greater numbers of more and more specialized cells. This course will examine the structure and integration of increasingly more specialized cells into organs and organisms. The structure, function and development of a number of specialized cellular communities will be explored.
