This course is a general introduction to a range of osteological topics of interest to the biological anthropologist, forensic anthropologist or archaeologist: mechanical properties, histology, functional and comparative anatomy, growth and development, age and sex determination, paleodemography, paleopathology, dietary reconstruction, assessment of biological relatedness. Course will include lectures, demonstrations and hands-on exercises.
